The winners ?
I would have to hang my hat on Manchester…..City,they have the best squad in the league, after winning their first Premier league in fifty years you can only see them going on from here, they will trust each other a little more this year and accept that they are favourites and in turn will feel more comfortable with the challenge that awaits.
Top four ?
Chelsea – Manchester United – Liverpool
Chelsea and Man United for 2nd / 3rd,I don’t think United have purchased the players they needed to catch City,Scholes and Giggs are another year older and will spend more time out through injury or planned rest days.
Chelsea have purchased some good promising players in Oscar and Hazard to add to their Champions league winning squad.
It’s early days for Brendan Rodgers at L’pool but I have a feeling he is the manager the club has misd for years, last season Swansea played in the famous reds tradition and style, they will do well to keep Arsenal out but if Van Persie goes, which I think he will, you can take 20 goals of the gunners for the season.
Surprise package ?
West Ham United – 10th
I will include my team into this category,Big Sam has purchased some interesting players over the summer, BIG James Collins who only gave 100% last time he was with us,he’s a solid player who will always be solid at the back and a menace from set pieces.
Mohamed Diame – For Wigan I always remember him bombing forward with lightning pace,I presumed he was a striker only to find out he is a holding midfielder,I hope his partnership with our other new recruits,Diarra(French international) and French striker Maiga will be the catalyst for a successful season for WHUFC.
I don’t think Reading have the fire power all or the squad to make it in the P’L,they done well last season based on team play, this may get them so far but I can see them being doomed with games to go this year.
Under new management with Laudrup,he make like the Swansea free-flowing approach but if he doesn’t gel with his team from the off I see a bleak season ahead for Swansea, added to this they have just lost their brain and engine room with Joe Allen signing for Liverpool.
Their manager really gets on my tits, there’s being positive then there’s the saints manager Adkins, the squad worked well together in the Championship, they face a tough start in the Prem’,I can see and hope that they plummet to a fast relegation, anything to wipe that smile of Adkins face 🙂
