Detachment (2011) movie review – Close to a perfect movie 9/10

Once in while a movie comes along that elevates your appreciation for original content and makes your seat feel that bit more comfortable as you can tell from the first few minutes that the journey is gonna be an entertaining one.

The characters are loud and threatening without being cliché, the writer(Carl Lund) gets as close to reality and then smacks you in the face with the truth; without a care in the world if you like it or not,I loved it!

Adrien Brody is perfectly cast as a substitute teacher, while going through life keeping people at arm’s length, his patience is tested when he joins a new school.

Directed by Tony Kaye.(American History x)

The supporting cast includes James Cann,Lucy Liu,Brian Cranston and a star of the future in Sami Gayle.

9/10
