  1. Re- UK Immigration barristers fraud – BBC update Oct’ 2012.
I could not find Nadim Akthar’s name on the Bar Standards Broad records ( the regulatory part of Bar Council of England Wales). So, how this firm is using the Barrister designation and the BBC reporter called him Barrister? It’s defamatory to the people who are actually barrister . Also, I am surprised to see their website is still on although UK IMMIGRATION BARRISTER is not a licensed firm to provide immigration services, nor it’s regulated by the Bar Council, if he is not a practising barrister.

  2. Please ignore my earlier comments and I precisely make the following comments to publish.

BBC report- 22 Oct 2012, Families ‘ripped off’ by Birmingham immigration firm”
Having read the BBC report, I couldn’t find the main adviser Nadim Akthar’s name on the Bar Standards Board records ( the regulatory part of Bar Council of England Wales). So, how this firm is using the Barrister designation and the BBC reporter didn’t deal with this issue? Particularly, betterthanimbd.wordpress.com titled the report as – “Immigration barristers fraud – BBC update Oct’ 2012 ” which is defamatory to the Bar Council and people who are actually barrister and honestly helping their clients with dignity and sincerity. Also, I am surprised to see their website is still on, although UK IMMIGRATION BARRISTER firm is not a licensed firm to provide immigration services, nor it’s regulated by the Bar Council, OISC or Law Society. It’s a duty of the OISC, UKBA and police to take immediate action against using the name barrister and misleading the people. Also, it doesn’t make any sense why the clients didn’t bother to check first whether the firm had a license to do so when they decided to pay the fee and expecting services for the important matters..

    M M Hossain, Barrister

  3. I agree with Mr Hossain who is known as a very good, honest and sincere Barrister in Asian particularly Bangladeshi community in England. He regularly advises on TVs to be careful about these kind of frauds. We need to know from the BBC about the current position of this firm and what exactly the regulatory bodies have done so far to safeguard clients as their website is still on. I found this news when I was searching about the immigration advice and services.
