Fast times at Ridgemont high (1982) Movie review; Sean Penn,Forest Whittaker and Judge Reinhold hold your heads in shame

Judge Reinhold wonders around this film like someone who suffers with a mental illness,Sean Penn sounds acts like Keanu Reeves character in Bill & Ted and Forest Whittaker plays an angry black guy with a heart of gold….

I downloaded this after it was classed as one of the best teen comedies of the 80’s’,well 1982 must have been a poor year for movies,if this was released today it would go straight to DVD,all the characters are one-dimensional and cliché, if you compare this with earlier efforts of Porkys or Lemon Popsicle it does not shine a light, there is very little to laugh at and the general style of the movie would be best described as peculiar.

  1. I will agree Porky’s is better, however I think this movie gets it golden shine from the hilarious Sean Penn role and Ray Walston as the teacher, the fact there weren’t many teen R rated movies back in the early 80’s only a select few! Plus all the horny boys apparently were obsessed with Phoebe Cates!

  2. Your Welcome, you are quite refreshing! I don’t get down with many UK picks though as I prefer your comedy there! You will also know are special as only person ever subscribed to on WordPress!!!
