Maniac (2012) Movie review; From the point of view of the maniac, maniac’s have feelings too ya know!

This movie should not have worked but I loved it, now don’t get me wrong,I am not a maniac and I have no wish to harm anyone, but this movie simply gives you a front row seat and shows what it would be like to be a maniac, not an easy mission for a film but I think the makers pulled it off!

How many times have you watched this type of movie from the victims point of view and just fallen into a coma by the time the fridge door closes and the boogey man is standing there with a knife dangling from his hand, you don’t root for the maniac in the film but you don’t wish for his demise either, which creates a fresh angle on a generic format.

Elijah Wood would be my last choice to play this psycho but he really does pull it off, he plays abnormal very well….a little too well for comfort at times which makes for some sick but entertaining scenes.

I do not recommend this film as a casual film(this is not a popcorn film 🙂  ),I do recommend it if you are looking for a new experience within a film and are bored with the norm’.

7/10
