Labor Day ( 2013) Movie review; Entertaining for less obvious reasons!

I wasn’t expecting a great deal so was quietly surprised in how much I enjoyed this one, Josh Brolin makes a very convincing prisoner on the run, it’s remarkable were that man has come from, up until a few years back he was the big brother from the Goonies, now it feels weird when he is not part of something big.

This movie takes a dangerous situation and turns it up on its head and makes a story more about the people, if you are tuning in for the action you will be disappointed, if you are looking for something different with the focus being the characters and their wants & needs.

Kate Winslet plays her most interesting role since ”Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind 2004”  she plays a woman who has been dumped by her husband and left to fend for herself and her son while the neighbours whisper!

Entertaining for less obvious reasons.

7/10
