A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) Movie Review – Taken at a much slower pace.

Liam Neeson is everybody’s favourite action hero nowadays, this may have seemed very unlikely years ago but he has found his niche of playing the all out action hero with a ”BRAIN”.

Back to this film and it’s an interesting thriller, there are some bloody scenes but if you are going into thinking this is another version of Taken you will come out disappointed, that said the film, which has been converted from a book is not bad, he plays an ex police office turned private eye who gets asked to look into a case of kidnapping.

The characters are intriguing and the story does not go down the obvious route, but like an old motor engine it does kind of stalls in parts, this doesn’t ruin the film but it doesn’t do anything to keep you engaged throughout.

Interesting facts about the film –

Thanks to Liam Neeson’s popularity with past action hits, the film was already in profit before release thanks to robust sales at film markets.
